Kashmir shuts against abrogation of Article 35-A | KNO

Following the shutdown call by the separatist leaders, most shops and business establishments were shut across Kashmir on Saturday. Thin traffic movement was witnessed on roads.

They warned the Centre and the state government of a protest agitation if attempts are made to fiddle with Article 35-A. If these plans are not stopped, then we will appeal to people to come out and start an agitation, the statement said.


The shutdown call has   prompted the authorities to impose restrictions in parts of Srinagar, the summer capital.


Most of the shops and other business establishments in Srinagar were closed.
